Maintaining a normal weight with proper diet and daily exercise is a must for keeping heart in shape. Research has found that heart healthy diet can reduce the risk of heart diseases by 80%. Eating heart healthy foods lower the cholesterol level, thereby reducing the chances of heart disease and high blood pressure, and allows us to take control of our life.

Yogurt
Yogurt or curd is available in every kitchen and including a bowl for your lunch or breakfast is recommended for a healthy heart and body.
Whole Grains
Whole grains are rich in fibre, antioxidants, phytosterols, and phytoestrogens which help in maintain a lean body. A healthy fit body body always has fewer chances of suffering from heart diseases.
Beans
Beans are filled with soluble fibres; this helps them to bind cholesterol, thereby omitting the chances of absorption. A handful of boiled or baked beans regularly are good for the heart.
Fish

Chocolate

Green tea or any tea without milk and sugar is like a magic potion for heart because teas are a great source of anti-oxidants. For people who are habituated to sweet tea can substitute sugar with honey.
